Buff Bake Snack Attack


Oh BABY!!!

Are you ready for something mouth-wateringly delicious???

Before I headed out to LA (last Wednesday) for the IHRSA Convention I stopped by my local Vitamin Shoppe to pick-up some snacks to take with me. My typical "go-to" is Quest Bars (because "hello" they are amazing in taste and they also keep you fueled). I'm also a business affiliate with Quest Nutrition so I usually just order through my website, but in this case I was out (sigh!). Luckily, my faithful Vitamin Shoppe had some in stock so I picked up a few Cookie Dough & S'mores Bars for me and my roommates. I've learned the hard way that eating more than one Quest Bar in one day is a really bad idea! I mean, REALLY bad idea, especially if you're flying! I don't know about you, but I don't need any extra help in the bloat / swelling department during flights. The LAST thing you'll want is (what I call) a massive "fiber belly". Just think about the 17+ grams of fiber that are in each one of those guys! WOWZA! They're great for snacks on-the-go, but be careful with too many.

As I was scooping out the latest and greatest on the racks of V-Shoppe, I found my long-lost beloved...

I mean, really!?!? Cookie Almond Butter, huh?! The back of the jar I read:

"All-natural, protein-packed, gluten-free, and oh so GOOD ingredients!"

Ingredients: Roasted Almonds, All Natural Whey Protein, Coconut Palm Sugar, Cinnamon, Unsweetened Cocoa, Dark Chocolate Chips, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate Chips, Chia Seed, Flax Seed.

Contains: Almonds, Coconut, Milk

It doesn't get any cleaner than that!

As you can see on the top picture of this blog post that there is a wide variety of flavors that they offer...I may have bought all of them (giggle giggle)!

The snack that I have fallen the hardest for is this...

1/2 Ripe Banana

Calories: 202

Fat: 6.7

Carb: 29.5

Protein: 7.6

So Simple!

So Delicious!

So Satisfying!

You know you could always just keep it simple and enjoy a treat like this... (my favorite!!!)

Just like all nut butters, you've got to watch your portion size! Fat and Calories add up really fast with scrumptious unsaturated fats. A portion size is only 2 Tablespoons. Be sure to measure it out!!!

I'm leaving you with this FINAL BONUS: The creators of Buff Bake are these two adorable cousins. Being so close to my cousin, it was a sweet moment for me to read their story.
