Stitch Fix, Postnatal Edition

For those of you that don't know what Stitch Fix is, it's a personal styling service that ships five items to your door. You get to choose when to receive your shipment: quarterly, monthly or bi-weekly. This company was designed for people like me that love clothes and fashion, but hate shopping (or just don't have time for it).

Just this week I received my first Fix since having baby number three. I don't feel completely ready to try on clothes, however, I'm in desperate need for transitional clothes. Instead of skipping this Fix, I decided to go ahead and get a shipment in hopes to find a couples pieces I could wear while I'm on my journey to getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Here's how it works:

  1. You sign-up and then detail-explain your personal style. My favorite part is that you can link any Pinterest board that you may have to help show your stylist what you like. I linked my Summer Fashion Board since it's summer-time. It was also really nice to be able to tell my stylist that I needed my first Fix postpartum to be "forgiving" in the mid-section.

  2. You'll pay $20 to receive your first Fix which will go towards any purchase you make. I've never had a Fix that I didn't buy at least one item. If you decide to buy all 5 items then you'll receive a 25% discount off the total purchase. I've been known to do that a couple times :).

  3. Schedule your Fix, I receive mine quarterly (1 Fix for every season) and you'll get a box that looks like this...

Inside your box you'll find:

  • Clothing return envelope with prepaid shipping label

  • A personal note from your stylist

  • Picture examples of how to style each item

  • Itemized Breakdown for each item and total cost with 25% discount

  • Your 5 items (clothing, accessories, shoes)

I like to spread everything out and decide what I want to try on first.

WARNING: My house is currently a disaster now that my boys are home for the summer. No judging!

Item no1

High-Low Dress.

The best part of this dress was the cross-back. It was too hard to capture tho unfortunately.

Item no2

Gray high-low tee.

So comfortable and flattering for my tum-tum area. This is exactly what I need for a transitional tee.

Item no3

Army Green shorts.

I'm always telling my stylist to find me army-green ANYTHING cause I love it so much. These shorts, although a little tight right now, are so rad and going into my closet immediately!

Item no4

Boho lace cover-up.

This is so pretty! I really love the layered boho hippie look.

Item no5

Dressy Mint Sandals.

These are so pretty. I love the pop of silver. I can see these going with a pair of white skinny jeans and flowy floral blouse.

4. Once you decide what you want to keep and what you want to return, you'll need to hop online and make your payment.

5. What you wish to return, simply put the items into the prepaid envelope and drop it off at your local USPS post office.

It's super easy and can be a lot of fun. I've had the same stylist for the past three shipments and she just keeps getting better at finding things that I'll love.

Stitch Fix also has a Maternity service. See my Blog: Stitch Fit Maternity.
