My daily meals change pretty frequently, but one thing I aim to have consistent is my Morning ACV (apple cider vinegar) Drink. Contrary to how most of us feel as we're just waking up, our bodies and brain don't require caffeine first thing in the morning. When we wake up our bodies automatically produce cortisol which helps us naturally feel awake and alert.
However, if you've been with me for any stretch of time you know how much I love coffee! Bulletproof, americano, iced cold brew with heavy cream. Yes! I love it all! So, when is the perfect time to consume coffee? According to the circadian rhythm the best time for us to consume caffeine and get it's maximum health and energy benefits is around 9:30-11:30am, 1pm, and 5pm. After learning this, I made the switch from having coffee first thing in the morning to starting my day with a short intermittent fast and enjoying my Morning ACV Drink instead. My energy and brain function has sky rocketed and I'll explain how in just a second.
A typical morning for me looks like this... I wake-up between 4:30-5:30am. I get dressed and make my Morning ACV Drink and sip on it while I return emails and create new content. I hold off having breakfast and coffee until about 9:30am or after my morning workout. If I get an energy slump later in the day I might have another cup of coffee or matcha green tea around the one o'clock hour.
What is the Morning ACV Drink and what are the benefits?
This drink is a powerhouse! It's jam-packed with nutrients to take your health and brain function to a whole new level. The main purpose of this drink is to help aid in digestion, reduce inflammation, reduce cravings, and promote fat loss.
