WWE Themed Birthday for 9-Year Old

Let me just confirm with you that time really does fly! My oldest son (Bryce) just turned 9yrs old on May 9th. It was just yesterday that he was telling me, "I do it" every time I tried to help him with something. I suppose he still tells me the same thing now, but only in proper English. Bryce is so independent! Seriously, I can remember him as a newborn not wanting to be held. He’d cry when you’d hold him and be fine once you put him down (complete opposite than most babies). He started walking once he turned 9-months old and was SPRINTING by the time he was 10-months old. Now, at 9 years old, the kid can out-run me on even his worst day. It’s a little embarrassing, I’m not going to lie, but he is a born athlete and I’m very proud of that. The kid inspires me daily with his fearless approach to life and his ambition for adventure.

Bryce has been a huge WWE fan for the past couple of years. In fact, his birthday party theme was WWE last year as well although his party was shared with his little brother Brayden. This is the first year that I am throwing them each their own party. Bryce and Brayden are only 14 months a part; Bryce’s birthday is in May and Brayden’s birthday is in July so it has only made sense to celebrate their birthdays together in June; right smack dab in the middle of the summer. For the past 8 years this brilliant idea has worked, but now they are getting a little older and wanting to have their own parties. I get it. I remember being a kid. Thank God I never had to share my birthday celebration! So, that’s what we are doing this year and so far, so good. Bryce loved his pool party and we are looking forward to throwing Brayden a fun roller skating party in July!

Unfortunately I didn't take all the pics that I should've taken at his party. I suppose it's because I was trying to be a great host. So, this is how it all went down…

Location:

  • We started the party out by meeting in the clubroom of their dad’s apartment complex. We wanted to make sure everyone knew how to get out to the pool. We had pre-booked the clubroom just in case we had bad weather that day.

What to Bring:

  • Indoor Games, WWE Action Figures and Wrestling Rings (in case we got rained in)

  • Lots of water guns and floaties (in case the weather was amazing, which it was- holla!!!)

Decorations:

Food:

(I was happy to know we didn’t get a single food complaint not even from my children- SCORE!)

Once most of our guests showed, we went outside and the kids were so excited to swim. While they swam, the adults were able to eat and mingle which is so nice!!! I know you can relate! The cake was delicious and the kids had a blast.

All-in-all this was a super successful party so I thought I would just share with you what worked for us. Remember, I’m throwing another party in July so I could use all the tips and ideas I can get so please comment below with some blogs you think I should read or share with me what has worked for you.

“Happy 9th Birthday my sweet Bryce! Bryce you are my greatest help & someone I can ALWAYS count on. Your smile (& dimples) light up a room! Your impressive ninja moves keep people talking for days. You've got the biggest heart of any kids your age that I know. You're a blessing to me and I'm grateful every day that God gave me you. Mommy loves you to the moon & back!”

Thanks to all my amazing friends that came out to support my little guys birthday! I'm so grateful to have such an amazing group of mom-friends. I love sharing our stories and swapping ideas. I love you guys dearly! Without your love and support I know that I wouldn't be as great as a mom that I am today.
