Devin's Spiked Root Beer Product Review

Hey Texans 🤠 - this post is for you!

Now more than ever, it's important to support our local small businesses. I know you know that which is why I wanted to share a small business with you that you're going to want to support as the months get hotter.

You won't typically find alcohol posts on this blog as I use this platform to share health and fitness tips, but today I'm making an exception because my longtime buddy, Devin Strahan, has just launched an amazing new product that Cody and I love to have as a treat and we're confident you'll love it too.

What is Devin’s Spiked Root Beer and what makes it so special?

Devin’s Spiked Root Beer is unique to other products out on the market, which typically are ale or malt derived. Devin's Spiked Root Beer is wine-based, made with cane sugar, and comes in at 8% alcohol content (ALC). Devin’s product line doesn’t just stop at the original root beer; there are four additional flavor profiles available: Texas Pecan, Dark Cherry, Chocolate, and Orange Cream Soda. Each has its own distinct and rich flavor.

So let me tell you about the flavors and my experience with each…

Devin’s Spiked Root Beer🍻 : Imagine inhaling the natural aromas of vanilla and molasses, while enjoying the clean and crisp effervescent finish in one sip. All the great things you love about root beer…with a kick!

My review: Understand that I’m Texas-born and raised; I live for Football, Tailgating, BBQ, and Root Beer. So, when I was faced with the decision on which flavor I should try first, the obvious one was Original Root Beer flavor. My first reaction was “WHOA! That definitely contains 8% alcohol!” LOL! Then, as I continued to sip and savor I was reminded of all the fun times I had with my Dad growing up when we would make Root Beer Floats together. This exciting new adult spin to root beer did not disappoint, and yes, of course it tastes amazing paired with a scoop of Bluebell😉.

Devin’s Spiked Vanilla Cream 🍦: Aromas of vanilla, molasses and spice notes of cinnamon and anise will have you savoring every sip. Great addition to a root beer float or a cocktail.

My review: Also great with Bluebell 😆 ! Devin was making Vanilla Cream Root Beer Floats in the Wild Game Crew tent at the 2023 Houston Rodeo Cook-off this weekend. See it HERE. I took a pack of Vanilla Cream with me on a girls trip to New Braunfels (see pic below). The perfect treat after a long day on the river!

Devin’s Spiked Texas Pecan 🌰: A favorite among nut lovers, this blend teases your tongue with the creamy flavor combination of warm brown sugar, buttery notes, and pecan flavors, giving the taste of a rich homemade Texas pecan pie in a bottle.

My review: Shut the front door! I’m hooked! Just thinking about this one makes me want to get up and do the happy dance all over again. Texas Pecan is sweet and satisfies my undeniable sweet tooth. I have my top two and this is one of them. Yummmmm!

Devin’s Spiked Orange Cream 🍊: This flavor profile stands alone from the other four. The bright orange flavor has a hint of vanilla ice cream finish and will awaken childhood memories of the Ice Cream Truck coming down your street.

My review: You’re probably wondering which one was my other top favorite. Here it is and you’re most likely just as surprised as I was. Orange Cream was the last flavor that I tried because I’m not a huge orange fan and the thought of orange and root beer just sounded unappealing. Boy was I WRONG! If you have any joyful memories of eating creamsicles growing up, you MUST try this flavor! Ohh emm ggg!!! Summer staple for sure.

Devin’s Spiked Dark Cherry 🍒: Bursting with the robust flavors of sweet dark cherries, this blend is rich and smooth.

My review: This one reminds me of dark cherry pie. It has a bold cherry flavor that is really refreshing on a hot summer day. Cherry lovers, rejoice!

Devin’s Spiked Chocolate 🍫: Sweet and delectable. Chocolate lovers beware; the bold (yet not overpowering) flavors of cocoa will totally entice you.

My review: You had me at chocolate! Although, if I’m being honest, I was a little worried that the chocolate flavor was going to be overwhelming, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. Spiked Chocolate would be really fun to serve with a dessert party tray.

If you live in the Houston area, I would like to invite you to a local tasting to meet Devin himself and sample all of his amazing flavors! Follow Devin on IG for updates on when and where he'll be next.
