How To Carb-Cycle at Clean Juice
First off, what is Carb-Cycling?
Now that I am a Certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss Coach, I help my clients all over the nation learn how to optimize dietary tools like Intermittent Fasting, Carb-Cycling, and Macro Tracking. Carb-Cycling is a style of eating that I used back when I was a Bikini and Figure Competitor to get my body very lean for show day. Carb-Cycling is exactly how it sounds - it involves varying your carbohydrate intake daily, weekly or monthly.
This rotation paired with a complimentary workout routine, boosts fat loss by way of low-carb days putting you in a fat-burning state and high-carb to boost your metabolism. This might sounds a little intimidating, but it's actually very simple: some days you eat more carbohydrates (and less fat) and some days you eat more fat (and less carbohydrates). Your protein intake remains the same. This encourages your body to switch between two different energy sources thus becoming more insulin sensitive, increasing athletic performance, and yes, FAT LOSS!
Here are a couple examples of what your plates might look like on low and regular macro days...
Secondly, what is Clean Juice?
Clean Juice is the first and only USDA Certified Organic Food and Juice Bar Franchise. You might have seen one pop up in your neighborhood or noticed former NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow rave about them.
A few things that separate Clean Juice from of their competitors is that they are completely organic, they list all their ingredients, they provide low-carb and balanced macro menu options, and best of all (in my opinion) every store has a Prayer Request jar where you can drop your personal prayer request into on your way out the door.
I've listed my go-to order options for Low-Carb Days & Regular Macro Days to help narrow down some options for you. Yesterday, I ordered The Green Smoothie Bowl which is delicious and is jam-packed with health gut and immunity boosting ingredients like Spirulina, Spinach, Kale and Acai. When dining out it's good to pick items that have ingredients that you don't typically make or use at home. It can be a game - how many uncommon healthy ingredients can I get in my meal while dining out?
If you would like to learn more about Carb-Cycling, Macro Tracking, and Intermittent Fasting, I would love to coach you through my next 6-Week Round. Send me a message and I'll gladly reply with more details and my next registration opening.
In the meantime, I hope that you found this information helpful and that you will feel more comfortable ordering at Clean Juice the next time you are in.
