Eating Healthy More Conveniently

Sick of saying, "Diet starts Monday"?

More times than not, the reason why most people fall off their healthy eating regime is because they weren't prepared for success. It's not enough to just have the ingredients in your fridge. Imagine working 6, 7, 8+ hours today and want to come home to a healthy meal. How excited would you be to spend 30-60 minutes preparing/cooking dinner? I'll answer: It's NOT going to happen! You'll either stop to grab fast food on your way home or raid your pantry. Ask me how I know. Ha!

It’s time we stop relying on convenience foods and get better at making healthy (whole) foods more convenient!

How do we do that?

Here are 4 ways that work for our family of five…

1.) Slow Cooker

At least once a week I take advantage of our slow cooker by tossing all the ingredients needed into the pot first thing in the morning and by the evening voilà we have a warm balanced meal. You might be cooler than me and have an Instant Pot. If that’s the case, both work! Simply throw all the ingredients in the pot and let it do the cooking for you.

Our rotation looks something like this:

2.) Double or Triple Your Favorite Recipes

Chicken or Tuna Salad is on a constant rotation at our house. Use some of the reserved shredded chicken from the slow cooker and make a big bowl of Chicken Salad that will last you through the week.

3.) No Bake Balls and Bars

If you don't have a little craving for something sweet every once in a while, I would question whether or not you are human...

The healthiest way I've found to curb a craving for something sweet is by having no bake energy balls prepared in my freezer for the moment weakness strikes.

4.) Utilize Food Delivery Services
